I was tempted to curl headfirst into a snail shell

Living the rest of my days safe and comfortable

So I made the idea small and I crushed it in my hand

Into brown shards - sharp, unrepairable

Before I had the chance to ponder it

It’s hurt to live with hands open ever since

Sometimes I wish I’d let myself choose the safe path
